news, gossip and facts as they happen! No where else can you get all the
inside scoop on lead stars, Larisa
Oleynik and Andrew Keegan! We're going to tell you what the
story is about, who's in it, and tons of important facts that you're dying
to know!
Don't be
swayed by the title, this flick will entertain you with schemes,
challenges, and life lessons wrapped up into a romantic plot that will
sweep you off your seat! Sound enticing? Read on!
Meet the
Stratford sisters: pretty and popular Bianca (played by our very own
Larisa Oleynik!), a sophomore doomed to
be dateless throughout her high school career; and Kat (Julia Stiles) her ill-tempered, sarcastic older
sister, whose acid-tongue and sharp wit can only be matched by her
steadfast determination to thwart all male pursuers. (Talk about playing
hard to get!)
To Bianca's
dismay, strict rules in the Stratford house forbid her from having a
boyfriend until her crabby sister has one of her own (hmmmm and I thought
my parents were strict!) The situation seems hopelessly improbable given
the fact that Kat has taken on the role of social rebel at Padua High.
Desperate for romance, Bianca formulates a complex scheme to match Kat
with her male equivalent, a mischief making teen whose reputation is so
widely known, Kat just might rise to the challenge and deem him worthy of
her hidden charms (she 's a sweetheart down deep).
The plot thickens when Patrick
Verona (Heath Ledger) a sullen senior
with a reputed criminal past--is bribed by Bianca's wanna-be boyfriend
Joey (played by our very own Andrew Keegan) to sweep Kat off her feet and
win her over. If he completes his task, Bianca will be free to begin
dating. Sounds like Pat's got his work cut out for himself!
Will hard
hearted Kat be won by bad-boy Patrick? Will the lovely Bianca find romance
in the arms of Joey? Or will supersensetive Cameron (played by
Joseph-Gordon Levitt) get the girl of his dreams? Stay tuned for more info
on the release date of this outrageous comedy, based on William
Shakespeares classic play," The Taming of The
Shrew ". It's truly a
story about people, and being yourself. (It's also about who can spit out
the best comeback!) This picture is a guaranteed must-see for all in
search of a good time. Who knew that the classics could be so much
fun?!
