We're back with another deep and meaningful look into the life of Miss Larisa Oleynik, one of the coolest, cutest and most captivating 16 year old superstars that you're ever likely to meet! In fact Larisa's popularity seems to be just soaring all over the world.

ONLY 9TH?

Just recently in People Magazine's Second Annual On-line Beauty Poll, Larisa was voted as the 9th most beautiful person in the world, sharing the list of beautiful people with the likes of Jenny MCCarthy, Gillian Anderson and Claire Danes. Now just take a second to think about that....the 9th most beautiful person in the world! Not too shabby you might think! It would be enough to blow almost anyone's mind, but Larisa just takes it all in her stride.

One of the most charming aspects to Larisa is that she never lets all of the adoration that she receives go to her head. In fact most of the time Larisa seems almost shy about all the compliments and praise that are being heaped upon her.

Recently in one of the chats a member of Celebrity Sightings asked her about how she feels to be thought of as one of the planets most desirable babes......

"Larisa, how do you feel about winning 2nd place for the People's on-line mag, the MBP contest? MBP= Most Beautiful Person?"

"Larisa-cs says, "It was actually 9th place (smile) and um it was cool".

See we told you it wouldn't faze Larisa!

YOU KNOW SOMETHING?

One of the best things about Celebrity Sightings is that we can let you in on some of things about Larisa that you would never EVER find out about anywhere else. Of course everyone who knows Larisa has an 'idea' of what she's like, but this is the ONLY place where Larisa can tell you what's really going on in her head.

SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS.

For example her dreams. What do you think that the average 16 year old superstar would be dreaming about? Oscar nominations? Hollywood premieres? Dates with rock stars like Gavin of Bush maybe?

Actually not! Larisa told us recently that she dreams about all the usual day-to-day things that are going on in her life, you know the sort of things, tests at school, learning lines, going to parties that kind of stuff. Sometimes she's not even quite sure where her dreams stop and where her real life starts. She told us that the day after she has had a really intense or a very vivid dream, she finds it hard to separate it from fact or fiction. Did that really happen or was it just a dream?

Like a lot of people, Larisa sometimes has weird recurring dreams that she's had many times before. One of these dreams that she told us about takes place in the same dingy alleyway and she's not sure if it's a real place that she has actually been or just somewhere that's familiar in her mind. Another dream (or is it actually a nightmare?) is all about some person who was posing to be a sweet old Grandma, talking to Larisa and sucking her in, but in the end it turns out that she was really evil. Whoa...now that's spooky!

Another really wild thing about Larisa and her nocturnal activities, is that not only can she remember her dreams, but also she is sure that she dreams in color (which not everyone does) and also she often dreams she can fly! In fact she told us that sometimes she finds herself soaring high above her school with all her classmates flying right alongside!

It was in first grade that she first dreamt she had the ability to fly. She was holding hands with her friends and she became the most popular girl in the class. It all sounds very Peter Pan to us and in fact when she was asked recently what she would like to do when she grew up, she just grinned and replied "I don't think I'll ever grow up".

CAMERA SHY

Another interesting thing about Larisa which may surprise you (seeing as how she is forever being asked to pose for camera's) is that she's not always totally comfortable doing photo shoots.

Although almost all of her pictures come out looking totally amazing, (Ed: So why doesn't that happen to me?) she told us that it often takes her a while to relax. See we told you she was shy! So now, if ever you're in the enviable position of directing a fashion shoot with Miss Oleynik, here are a couple of tips. # 1. Larisa does like to have a little bit of direction so that she can get an idea of what it is you want to achieve. She enjoys suggestions but doesn't like to be told exactly what to do. And # 2. One word of warning, Larisa absolutely hates it when she's asked to be 'spontaneous' because it's impossible to just BE spontaneous standing there in front of a whole bunch of people and then she ends up feeling like a dork!

MISSING HER SCHOOL MATES

One of the questions that Larisa gets asked a lot is "what's the best thing about being a TV celebrity?" So we decided to take the opposite tack. What is it that she misses the most now that she has reached such dizzying heights?

She told us that one of the hardest things is not having a normal high school experience. It's pretty hard to be away from school so much and then having to catch up with all the work along with all the other kids. Larisa misses being able to be on the school teams like softball and volleyball and being on the cheerleading squad. Much of the time Larisa has to balance the good side with the bad but she really loves what she does and wouldn't change it for the world.

When she does get to some spend some time at home, she loves to just kick back with her friends from school. As you can also see here (in a very exclusive home snap we might add) she also digs hanging out with her lifelong friend Tigger who never seems to be impressed by her celebrity status. Celebrity Sightings wanted to ask Tigger what he thinks of his famous owner but like a true professional he wouldn't say a word! (wink). What a guy!

Larisa as you probably know has just turned 16 which means that she would be eligible to get her driver licence, but so far she's never even had enough time to get her permit. However she told us just last week that she's in no great rush and her mom Lorraine is always on hand to pick her up and drop her off. Larisa said, " Anyways I like being able to curl up and catch up with some much needed sleep on the back seat of the car on the way to work."

WARP SPEED AHEAD

In the last couple of years music has started to play a major part in her life and she likes nothing better than going to gigs and watching bands like Save Ferris, Dance Hall Crashers, and her friend Joe's band 22 Jacks. In fact Larisa was hanging out backstage at the piers in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago interviewing almost all the bands on the Warped Tour! Talk about the dream job!

Larisa was in band heaven and took full advantage of the situation chilling with tons of different bands including The Vandals, 22 Jacks, Hepcat, and Social D. In fact the word from the Warped Tour has it that Larisa was talking cool shoes with Dicky from The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and spent much of her time chillin' with Aaron from Reel Big Fish!

On the Warped Tour, although Larisa didn't manage to meet the infamous "Uncle Bob" who has been made famous on the 22 Jacks CD of the same name but she did watch them play. If you haven't heard the band yet (and if not then why not?) go check them out! Tell 'em Larisa sent ya!
