HELLO? DID SOMEONE SAY BUSY?
Welcome back to Event Update with Larisa Oleynik who happens to be one of the busiest young actresses around town.
This is where we keep you totally clued in to what Larisa has been doing, where she has been and where you might be lucky enough to catch up with her.
So let's start way back in March and give you all the info that you've been dying to hear.
On March 24th the girl fom Alex Mack headed off to Phoenix, Arizona to take part in a "Nickelodeon Takes Over Your School Event". Now isn't that every schoolkid's dream?
Along with Larisa, Nickelodeon also enlisted the help of Darris Love and Michelle Trachtenburg (Harriet the Spy). The kids from Arizona were treated to a full day of fun and games with NO lessons! There were balloon tosses, pie-eating games, free T-shirts, bands like 'No Mercy' played at the school and of course way cool celebs like Larisa!! Ahhh the perfect day!
Then Larisa and her family skipped off for a much needed vacation on the gorgeous island of Maui. According to Larisa, going to Hawaii is one of her biggest indulgences in life. She's been there a bunch of times already and she just can't get enough of the place. Larisa spends most of her time just kicking it at the beach swimming, body surfing and snorkeling! Now there's a girl who doesn't mind getting her hair wet!
After returning to California, it was time to do some serious work and Larisa was thrilled to fly to Washington on April 9th-11th and take part in National Kick Butts Day. Larisa attended on behalf of the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids and was joined by another top ambassador Rider Strong from Boy Meets World.
We asked Larisa why she and Rider had decided to get involved in the organisation in the first place. She told us " well we both feel really strongly that kids shouldn't start smoking and doing drugs", and Celebrity Sightings couldn't agree more!
Remember April 19th ? Of course you do! It was the biggest, greenest, slimiest, celebrity filled fun-fest ever put together by those crazy kids at Nick. Oh now you remember right? It was the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards of course!
Larisa was on fine form at the awards and was massively excited to present a special Nickelodeon Hall of Fame Award to one of her favorite actors, Will Smith. Larisa and her Mom also worked their media magic and got Celebrity Sightings a special back stage pass to this mega celeb packed bash! Thanks guys!
In April, Larisa was asked to make a speech in Princeton New Jersey at the Merril Lynch Training and Conference Centre during "National Take Our Daughters to Work Day". In her speech (which I might add was a very closely guarded document) Larisa told the assembled daughters (all 300 hundred of them) about how she got her her first break in show business, what life is like on the Alex Mack set and her ambitions for the future. One of the best things about the entire day was that wherever Larisa went, in the car, at the hotel, at the restaurant EVERYONE had their daughter with them! Larisa and her mom thought that was great!
Also Larisa got the chance to tour the Princeton University campus which she thought was particularly stunning.
Next up, Larisa shot off to shoot some promo's for Nickelodeon and then it was saturdayMay 24th so it had to be Chicago!
Phwew and you thought YOUR life was busy!
Larisa was in the windy city to help celebrate the opening of the first ever Viacom Store which will feature products and merchandise from Alex Mack, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, MTV and others. The Viacom store is a very happening place so next time you hit Chicago you just have to check it out!
Now June was a bit of a wierd month for Larisa. The low point was having to deal with all those dreaded finals and trying to catch up with a lot of the schoolwork that she needed to get out of the way. The high point came on June 7th when she celebrated her 16th birthday!
Of course Larisa also made time to hit a few home runs at the Annual Celebrity Softball game which benefits Hands across Communications, a charity which raises money for deaf children. Apparently the day raised quite a good amount of money for a very worth while cause.
Not a bad couple of months we think you'll agree!

Once the party pair got home they climbed up on the roof of their apartment, gossiped until late into the night and then decided to leap into the hot tub fully clothed!!!! Alrighty then!
