This is from the "Together Again for the First Time" IMDB message board. This is not confirmed information but it sounds plausible.
I'm Reed McColm. I am a producer and writer on the film, and I wrote the play on which it is based. I just saw a rough cut of the film this week, and was very encouraged. The story worked and the performances were terrific. We should have something special with this one. We are working out its future now, and I will try to blog to let you know when release details are more firm. Thanks for being interested! Keep checking in.

Obviously you are not alone in admiring Larisa Oleynik. I just saw a rough cut of the film, and she is delightful in it. She uses a light British accent as Brenda you will especially enjoy coming from Alex Mack.

I'm a producer and writer of this project. Yes, Patty Duke left the production, and that was tough on the film. But Julia Duffy brought a very different take on the role, and her performance works very well. Patty Duke is a wonderful actress, and her enthusiasm for this script was sincere and total; I will always be grateful for that. I look forward to working with her again on something else, but it didn't work out on this one, and we still have a good movie you might enjoy.

the title of this film comes from the play of the same name, which was written in 1986.
